I've looked at so many end joints over the past few months that I've almost gridlocked myself trying to figure out which to use. I ended up going with these from TMR Customs and the tried and true Johnny Joints. Originally I was going to use the TMR joints on both ends of my control arms, but the diameter is too damn big to fit into the Motobilt frame brackets. They measure 3" dia and the JJ's are 2-1/2". So the plan now is to use the JJ's at the frame and the TMR's at the axle. In hindsight, it might be a good thing that the TMS were too big so that I have the JJ's at the frame for a little cushioning. The TMR's have replaceable bronze bushings so there isn't any give - see parts in rebuild kit.

Jeff and I have been talking.

Do your seats actually fit you?

Been doing some measuring. Most seats have the shoulder belt holes at about 23-24" above the bottom pad.

Many of us are over 6' and this causes our shoulders to be about 26-28". Plus the head rest is about useless.

Doing some research I found that the shoulder belt holes should be at or slightly above your shoulders so that you don't compress your spine in an accident.

I haven't been able to find any seats that have more that 24" without going full custom. $$$..

	What have you found?

I need to replace the synthetic line on the buggy before the trip.

From what I have found I need 3/8" line... 80-85' long.

I have been looking at a few options.

The first one is a local company. Masterpull.

They offer three different models of synthetic rope. All made with Dyneema SK75. The differences I can see in the models is the protective outer layer and the strength ratings. They range in price from $325- $605.

	Superline XD - $605

Spydura Pro synthetic winch rope using Spectra® 1000 is heat treated offering the maximum in tensile strength and load bearing capacity. The compacted diameter prevents sand and dirt from penetrating the fibers and extends the life of the rope. Coated with high temperature urethane, equipped with a temperature resistant sleeve on the first layer and a ballistic nylon sliding sleeve, Spydura Pro synthetic winch rope provides extreme protection against heat, wear and abrasion.

Thinking about replacing my old Painless Trail Rocker with something with more capacity and a more modern interface.

Looking at the Switch Pros RCR-Force 12. It’s expensive so I’m interested to hear if anyone has experience with it. Is it worth the money?

Other recommendations? Most panels seem to have eight switches, which isn’t going to cut it for me once I move to the new axles with ARBs. I’m already tapped out with lights and other accessories.

Maybe just get two Apollointechs or other eBay/Amazon made in China panel?

My Jeep is at the fabricator to have a cage made, so I need to pick out seats and harnesses. Top choice just from reading is the PRP Daily driver seats. Though I'd like to hear what you have or what you want to get. Fabric choices, etc. Reclining or not?

	5 point harnesses or 4?

Also, the fabricator suggested not bothering with reinstalling the factory seatbelts. I have read many say to keep them for DD and street use because the harnesses are just too restrictive, can't reach the radio or turn to look over your shoulder, etc. I did tell him I want to keep the oem seatbelts.

I'm going to look for a vendor that has some so I can try them out, see what's comfortable.

Anyone using a helmet? My roll cage is going in, so figure I should have a helmet. Probably will only put it on for more extreme obstacles, but thinking I should wear it driving to and from the trail as well since a high speed accident could also bang me around a bit.

I feel like I’ve been seeing a bunch of social media posts recently about broken tie rod ends. Mostly the Apex ends like RPM uses, but also a few Rare Parts ends like Fusion uses. I guess some of these companies are pretty good about warranty replacements, but you still could have a pretty bad day and maybe lose several days of wheeling if you break one on the trail. Anyone carry spares? I just added left and rights to my trail kit. Steer Smarts (Artec). $200 each. 😣

So with the builds that many of us have going on I am going to want to rerun the rear lines to work better with the new set up. That being said, looking for input as to type of lines folks are recommending. I have seen many say the flexible poly lines are perfectly fine, stainless lines are preferred, or the copper brass is the way to go. In my mind, I want hard lines where possible and flex only where I have movement. I am sure I can salvage a portion of my lines but thinking I may just want to redo these as I will need to completely remove the rears to accommodate installation of the front towers. Look forward to peoples thoughts.

Definitely see the value, but also see where this could get bent up into the yoke on a hard hit. Course that hard hit could also screw up your DS/Yoke/U-joint straps.
